History Comes Alive for Miller Students

Updated: Jan 12, 2019

On December 3 of our Lord 2018, I had the privilege of returning to the Miller Elementary 4th grade class for the third year of our South Dakota History Presentation.

This year I expanded my presentation to include Andy Mosher and Ty Sanford, a couple of my fellow living history re-enactors. As a group we presented an interactive presentation to the students on the early settling of Dakota Territory and the events leading up to the settling of the Black Hills, The Gold Discovery and the colorful characters that were apart of this time period.

The presentation culminated with a class interactive portrayal of The Assassination of Wild Bill Hickok. The students were very enthusiastic with the question and answer period that brought our two hour presentation to a close.

Our sincere thanks to Mrs. Gesinger, Mrs. Ketelhut and principal Rierson for the fantastic experience.

If you are interested in bringing this interactive living history experience to your students, give us a shout. You will see all my contact information available here.
